Over two-plus years, I was a central creative force in pitching, branding and getting Marley Natural, the official Bob Marley cannabis brand to market. I collaborated and lead several agencies through its high-profile launch as the first global cannabis brand.
This brand’s formation was newsworthy. I wrote and directed the (last minute!) announcement videos narrated by Cedella Marley. which received over a million views in the first day. The digital launch effort won an Addy and in total the PR campaign earned over a billion impressions.
I helped develop branding, packaging, messaging, and created a variety of consumer-facing content as the brand laid foundations and built interest ahead of its commercial launch. The project included a trip to Jamaica and Miami with the team for asset creation and immersion with the Marley family, history and places of Bob’s legacy. An experience of a lifetime!
In the years since launch, it’s been especially rewarding to lend a hand on marketing pieces for Marley Natural from time to time.
